Welcome to Williamsport Bicycle Recycle – Your local nonprofit volunteer workshop offering bike repair , hands-on training, and refurbished bikes at reasonable prices.
Our Build-a-Bike programs provide affordable solutions for individuals or families to learn bike repair as they refurbish a bike of their choosing from our donations inventory. Our refurbished inventory changes often, and is updated every week.

We have many good used parts in our Parts Department. If you pay for a frame, you can use our parts, tools, expertise, and shop time. Customize your bike as you learn bike repair and maintenance techniques & skills you keep forever.
We are happy to work with you at your convenience.

Learn Bike Repair
Our shop is different from a commercial business. We are a community bicycle shop. Rather than dropping off your bike for us to fix, you work alongside a volunteer in one of our work stations. We are all volunteers.
If you are new to bike repair, you help with getting tools, pumping tires, and test riding. If you know your bike, you help with the work and learn how to handle more complex work on a derailleur or brake problem. Our goal is to teach you part of the repair process. We have plenty of used parts and a selection of new tubes and tires. You leave with a rideable safe bike and the knowledge of how to do some repairs by yourself. We do not have room to store bikes overnight.
We charge a small fee for our time and any parts we need to replace.
Can you fix e-bikes?
Our e-bike service is limited to minor issues with tires, chains, and brake pads. If there’s a problem with the electronics of your e-bike, we recommend contacting the seller or referring to e-bike repair resources online. This way, you can get the best possible assistance for your specific issue.
Can you use our shop if you have repair skills?
We have five bike stands. You can use our tools and our expertise.

We’re working towards a Bike-Friendly Williamsport Not all cities, including Williamsport, are lucky enough to have bike-friendly streets. That doesn’t mean it should stay that way. Bike Advocacy works toward making our city streets bike-friendly both now and in the future by getting bike-friendly streets integrated into city planning.
